Get Pumped Up

Everyone has their own pump up music that they listen to before events. Tim and I tend to listen to Dio and/or Dragonforce, but that's more of a happy medium based on the music we both like and what's available to us.

These are my top 5 pump-up songs, in no particular order:
1. This is War - 30 Seconds to Mars
2. Phenomenon - Thousand Foot Krutch
3. Indestructible - Disturbed
4. Master of Puppets - Metallica
5. Song 2 - Blur

So what are your top 5 pump-up songs for LARP?

  1. Lately, I've been listening to the Wrath of the Lich King soundtrack. Pleasantly dark, truly heroic, and it gets me in the mood to kill some liches. Of course, if I see a lich, I tend to run the other way, but...

  2. 1.For Whom the Bell Tolls- Mettallica
    2. Shut me up - Mindless Self Indulgence
    3. Run to the Hills- Iron Maiden
    4. When Worlds Collide- Powerman5000
    5. Holy Diver- Dio

  3. For a rather eclectic series, here's mine:
    1. "Descent into Mystery" - Danny Elfman
    2. "Blood" - Jim Johnston
    3. "Great Day to be Alive" - Travis Tritt
    4. "Ave Maria" - various
    5. "You Had Me" - Joss Stone

#1 plays as soon as I leave the interstate and head for Camp Gisowheco, a tradition since probably '99 or '00. #2 is for running plot, #3 for playing Nasir, #4 for passive Cedarlock, #5 for aggressive Cedarlock.

  4. My list is a little weird:

    1) Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie
    2) Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park
    3) Blood of Cu Chulainn - Mychael Danna
    4) Beast and the Harlot - Avenged Sevenfold
    5) Supermassive Black Hole - Muse

  5. "All Star" - Barenaked Ladies
"I'd Do Anything for Love" - Meatloaf
"I Will Always Love YOu" - Whitney Houston
"I'm Your Lady" - Celine Dion
    Anything by Air Supply
    Totally real list.

  6. The only problem I have with your list is that Smash Mouth did All Star, not Barenaked Ladies. Give credit where credit is due.

Besides, Tim lied about his list. The only song he ever wants to listen to is "California Gurls" by Katy Perry, because it fills him with so much rage... and just makes him want to dance.

  7. Dude, thats only when I am running a PC killing event, that and Rick Astley.
