This Week In LARP

Readership will be down this week, due to the NERO Cincinnati 10 day.

NERO Cincinnati will be continuing their 9-day event through the week, ending with an second event on Friday, August 26th and finally ending on August 28th. The game will be held at Camp Friedlander at the IG location of the Beronis. For information on pricing and preregistration, visit this page. This game wll be using 8th edition rules.

Independent

Vandlar will be hosting a 2-day event this weekend starting on Friday, August 26th and ending Sunday, August 28th. The game will be held at Lewis Arboretum. It's $55 to PC ($40 if you prereg) and is free to NPC, but everyone must pay an additional $10 for food.

  1. I attended the Exiles event last week, and I had a great time. I also saw a first in my 11 years of LARPing - freaking cows escaped a farm and decided that Lewis was a good place to stay.

    So let that be a warning to the Vandlar people! There might be a fair number of cow patties in the lower field and pavilion (although we did keep them out of the upper town for the most part).

  3. Speaking on behalf of my people - cows love larp! It's a fact. I was at an event where a powerful rainstorm came through during the night, knocking open a bunch of chicken coops. We woke up in the morning to dozens of chickens wandering all around the camp. Our friend Stephanie became Queen of the Chickens, because there was about 20 of them that kept following her around everywhere she went.
