I've realized that, while useful, the "This Week In LARP" posts have not been very interesting for our readers. That's why I'm going to add a new part to those posts.
In addition to telling you all about the games coming up that week, I want to get as much feedback as possible from players who went to LARP the previous weekend. It could be for any event, regardless of where it's held (I know we have quite a few readers from outside of Ohio).
Here's the format I'd like:
Game
Chapter (if applicable)
Rating: 1-10 (10 being best)
Pros: Things the event did well
Cons: Things the event could have improved upon.
Then, at the end of the year (or every 3 months), we can compile that data and send it to the owner/plot teams, in the hopes of improving upon past performance. Also, it could drum up some interest in some of the smaller, but fun games.

This Week In LARP - September 20th
This weekend is chuck full of LARP. Pick the one that fits you best!
Due to the large number of LARPs this weekend, I will not be posting events on the sidebar this week.
NERO
Northcoast NERO will be hosting a 2-day event this weekend starting Friday, September 24th and ending Sunday, September 26th. The game will be held at Camp Tuscazoar at the IG location of Syrinx. It's $40 to PC ($50 without prereg) and is free to NPC ($2 for insurance).
OGRE will be hosting a 2-day event this weekend starting Friday, September 24th and ending Sunday, September 26th. The game will be held at Camp Lazarus at the IG location of Oasis. It's $40 to PC and is $10 to NPC.
PRO will be hosting a 2-day event this weekend starting Friday, September 24th and ending Sunday, September 26th. The game will be held at Raccoon State Park at the IG location of Ebonmarr. It's $40 to PC (includes food, $10 extra at the door) and is $15 to NPC (includes food).
NERO Northlands will be hosting a 24 hour event this weekend starting Saturday, September 25th. The game will be held at Rolling Hills Cabins at the IG location of Gorgewrecker's Pass. It's $30 to PC ($25 to prereg) and is free to NPC.
Alliance
There are no local Alliance events this weekend. If you know of an event that might be a bit further away, drop the details in the comments! There is an Anderian Event, using a variant of the Alliance Ruleset. See below for Independent LARPs.

This Week In LARP - August 30th
It's Labor Day weekend! Celebrate by attending a wonderful 'camping' trip, if you know what I mean.
NERO
WAR will be hosting a 2 day event this weekend, starting Friday, September 3rd and going until Sunday, September 5th. This event will be held at Camp Giscowheco at the IG location of Lumberton. The game costs $50 to PC ($30 for players with good NPC ratios) and is free to NPC.
PRO will be hosting a 3 day event this weekend, starting Friday, September 3rd and going until Monday, September 6th. This event will be held at Raccoon State Park in PA at the IG location of Ebonmarr. The game will cost $62.50 to PC ($47.50 with a good NPC ratio) and is $25 to NPC, but these costs include tavern on Saturday and Sunday. There is also a $10 late fee for players who do not pre-register.

This Week In LARP - July 19th

Northcoast NERO will be hosting a 2 day event from Friday, July 23rd until Sunday, July 25th. The game will be held at Camp Tuscazoar at the IG location of Syrinx. The game is $45 to PC (various discounts available) and is FREE to NPC (with some additional bonuses, like food, formal, and a chance at a latex weapon).
Also, in the middle of the week, NERO Elkins will be hosting a Tavern Night. It's free to attend, but a donation of $10 will get you half a blanket. Hopefully Matt will be able to give us the address in the comments, because I couldn't find it on their site.

That means you can use this weekend to try some cross gaming at a local foam combat game (Amtgard, Dagorhir, or Belegarth). Or do something that's more socially acceptable like *GASP* visiting your family. It's up to you.

Event Update
Michael pointed out that the Nero KY event in the This Week In LARP post was actually for last year, so I am sorry for anyone who got their hopes up. But all is not lost, since there is a one day event at NERO SWV! The event will cost $20 to PC while NPCing is free, with $5 discounts to active and veteran military personnel. This Week In LARP - June 21st
This week, there are a number of LARP activities going on in the area.
If you didn't know, the Origins Game Fair is this weekend, from Thursday through Sunday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Origins is a gaming faire that covers all kinds of media in basically any genre. There will be tons of Board Games, CCGs, and, of course, LARPs. Try out a one-shot game for a local LARP to see if you like it, or just try acting like a different person with a bunch of strangers you've never seen before.
If conventions aren't your thing, you still have a few options.
NERO
NERO WAR will be hosting a 2-day event, starting June 25th. The in-game town is Vargus, a free city outside the bounds of the Kingdom of Stonegate. The game will be played at Camp Myeerah (7405 State Route 540, Bellefontaine OH 43311), and will cost $50 to PC ($30 with a good NPC Ratio) while NPCing is free.

If you didn't know, the Origins Game Fair is this weekend, from Thursday through Sunday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Origins is a gaming faire that covers all kinds of media in basically any genre. There will be tons of Board Games, CCGs, and, of course, LARPs. Try out a one-shot game for a local LARP to see if you like it, or just try acting like a different person with a bunch of strangers you've never seen before.
If conventions aren't your thing, you still have a few options.
NERO
NERO WAR will be hosting a 2-day event, starting June 25th. The in-game town is Vargus, a free city outside the bounds of the Kingdom of Stonegate. The game will be played at Camp Myeerah (7405 State Route 540, Bellefontaine OH 43311), and will cost $50 to PC ($30 with a good NPC Ratio) while NPCing is free.

This Week In LARP - June 14th
So you're a LARPer and you need to get your fix?
NERO
Northcoast NERO will be running a mod day on Saturday, June 19th. You'll be able to relax in an IG tavern, explore the repeatable dungeon (run by our very own Tim), attend a premade module, or request your own personal plot!
The game is at Camp Tuscazoar and starts at Noon and runs until about 10PM. $25 gets you in the door to PC, and players who NPC the whole thing will be receiving NPC rewards as if it were a full weekend event!
